CYO Service

Monday, January 16th, 2017 the St. Agnes Community is announcing a morning of service opportunities for our children.  We are asking for both parent volunteers and items to donate for these projects so please use the

and see lists below and bring items or drop in PREP Office before 1/16.

Project #1: Soles4Souls. All families are invited to donate any unwanted gently used sneakers or shoes to help the needy. Students will work on organizing, labeling, and preparing these shoes for shipment. You are welcome to ask your neighbors or relatives for their donations too!

Project #2: Safe Harbor. We will be collecting and assembling “Breakfast bags” for the residents of Safe Harbor. This temporary homeless shelter helps those individuals with daily difficulties and provides shelter, meals, and clothing to those who need.

Project #3: “Blessings Bags” for those people in our neighborhood who need a little TLC. Students will organize and assemble bags to include trail size bath items: shampoo, lotions, soap, etc…

Project #4: “Kudos and Kindness for our Military.”Students are invited to write letters and draw pictures to our local service men and women who are protecting our freedom.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact:

or Kelly Catania :

“…the Lord Jesus said: “It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”(Acts 20:35). We invite and encourage all youth of St Agnes parish to answer Jesus’ call when serving those in need. There are several opportunities offered each year where children serve others. Examples may be serving in the Day Room, assisting in CYO cleanup days, preparing a meal for Safe Harbor Shelter, playing bingo with the elderly, serving at The Lord’s Pantry, and helping local families in need.
